OUR BOAT "LUMOS"
Lumos, is a Hanse 375 that we've been lucky enough to call our home for the past few years. It's a performance cruiser that was designed by naval architects Judel/Vrolijk and built by Hanse Yachts in Germany in 2011. We love how fast and responsive she is, and how easy she is to handle with just the two of us on board.
She's got a fully battened mainsail, a self-tacking jib, and an asymmetric spinnaker that's perfect for light winds. We've also got a storm jib for when things get a little hairy out there.
But as much as we love sailing, it's also important to have a comfortable living space. Lumos definitely delivers in that department. Down below, she's bright, airy, and cozy. We've got three cabins and one head, which is enough room for us.
What really makes Lumos special to us are the upgrades we've made over the years, which have transformed her from a day-sailor to a bluewater sailboat that's perfect for long-distance cruising and makes living aboard much more comfortable.If you're interested, you can check out some of the upgrades on the Boat Projects page:
We couldn't be happier with Lumos. She's been our home and our ticket to adventure for years, and we're grateful for every moment we get to spend on her.
